Today I have for you a type of wallcovering called “toile”.
“Toile” is a french word that can be referred to as either fabric or its traditional surface decoration of the town and people (shown below).
This type of wallpaper is used mostly in English Country and French Country interior design. My recent visit to the Top Notch Resort and Spa in Stowe, Vermont, a New England state reflects this type of decor. This resort mixes English Country and Rustic Country style.
